God can certainly give you willpower to loose weight. I doubt very seriously that He would just suddenly make you a size 2 or anything. But if you pray to Him and believe that he can help you with your diet, He will.

Prayer is important. God can help you directly by strengthening your resolve but many times God helps the Christians through the strength of fellow Christians. Find a trusted Christians brother of sister who you can confide in and express your concerns about your weight to them. Then ask them to pray with you and ask them to hold you accountable in your efforts. Give them the clearance to talk to you at any time about how you are doing with your commitment. Meet with them on a weekly basis for prayer. You will be surprised how much easier it will be to change your life style if you have a trusted Christian helping you in your battle. If this Christian can become a work out partner with you on a regular basis that's even better. Remember weight control is not just about what you eat. It's about changing your lifestyle from a low activity / high calorie diet to a moderate or high activity / moderate calorie diet. Good luck and God bless.

Praying is always good, and god knows what you need.
There were two little girls late for school one day,one little girl said "let's pray we catch the bus in time", the other little girl said"lets run as we pray "
God will help you ,but you can't just lay around and hope to achieve your goal without an effort. Stay away from the junk and start doing some walking.

First off, if you are 12, you probably don't need to loose weight unless you are severely obese to the point of it being unhealthy. Excersize, eat right, and stop worrying about weight. At your age, and since you are still growing, a weight loss diet could be very unhealthy for you.
But prayer is always good in any situation. Trust God, ask Him for help, and ask Him to help you be satisfied with yourself also. And don't just talk to Him, listen also! You can listen by reading His Word, the Bible, and learning about Him. Start in Matthew, then read Romans, then John. God will reveal Himself to you if you trust Him! God bless!

Actually you are being vain and selfish in this attitude you are promoting amongst believers. Do you think it is God's will for you to lose weight or is it your will. You must ask this question in prayer to God. Then open your Bible and while reading it, see if God speaks to you through His word regarding this issue. I think it would be silly to starve yourself where food is abundant. This is a question of your heart to see if you are seeking God's will about vanity or God's will of your personal health and well being while living for Him during your brief time here on His Creation. Seek diligently.

Praying to God won't help if you keep eating those triple bacon cheeseburgers.
There are no secrets. Weight control is a balanced lifestyle of eating a sensibly portioned amount of healthful foods and getting off your duff and doing some excercise every day.

You should pray to God in the name of Jesus to help you see yourself through His eyes and to give you the wisdom to eat sensibly and the power to overcome the temptation to use food as a source of comfort.
I don't know how much you weigh or what you look like but if you are a Christian then I know that you are beautiful in God's eyes because He looks at your heart and not on what's on the outside.
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."
