i don't know if we have an amish community in northern england, but i will try to find out, and then buy 40 pounds of bacon there.

i think pork is loverly, ad prefer it to turkey any day, much tastier and goes down a treat. ummmmm, pork sage n onion and apple sauce with yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes and proper gravy...am starving now!

Where I live in Weymouth we have a couple of really good butchers, that do nice bacon BUT the best is a local farm shop where they breed their own pigs, see if you can find a farm shop, Then you will have nice bacon

It's not you the bacon that you can buy today sucks. The best I have bought in the last ten years was from a place called Y&B Meats. It's an Amish meat store in Yoder KS. I bought 40 pounds. Thats about all I can sugest to try to find the good stuff.

Pigs are force fed so that they can be slaughtered quicker, there is no time to get flavour, Then when they are slaughtered they are pumped up with water, Instead of letting it mature, I stopped eating bacon a long time ago, Its Tasteless watery and not nice

It's awful, mainly salty water that shrinks away to nothing when you cook it!!
You can buy decent bacon, but you have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it!!

i think that its all the hormones they use to plump up the pig and get it ready for market. it's not natural and neither is the bacon.
