I have several cats and if they have anything like that on them, I will usually watch it for a day or two and if it gets worse I bring them in to the vet. You should also watch them to see if they paw at it or try to tend to it by licking it......this could indicate irritation and/or pain......which I am NOT likely to let my cats have if I can help it. You can also do a google search for feline medical problems and you might find some more detail, but I'd still take the above advice if they were my cats. Also, the bump could be a sign of a bigger problem. I don't know, I wouldn't risk all of that......if it doesn't seem to get better, I'd bring him/her in. Good luck!

Do you have other cats? She may have been smacked by one. If you don't have other cats, does she go outside? She may have gotten smacked by another cat in the neighborhood. It happens to one of my cats occasionally. He instigates fights with my other cats and cats in the neighborhood. They always heal just fine within a few days.
It could also be from her scratching there. Does she have any fleas? Or, if others pop up, it could be flea allergies. All it takes is one flea bite to make a cat with allergies break out with scabs. For that she would need an allergy shot.
Of course there are always other possibilities, but these are the most likely. Just watch it and make sure it doesn't get infected. I would say put a little bit of antibiotic ointment on it, but cats tend to lick or wipe these things off. I think she'll be fine without it, though. Just keep an eye on it and if it happens to get worse, take her to the vet. :)

Really? My dog had the same problem. Only he had it on the back of his neck. The vets say that it happens on cats too. If it is scabby or looks like it has pus on it, it could be a small tumor. Depending on its size, there are a couple things the vet can do. They can remove it. Or they can give you some ointment that can clear it up. If it is large, they have to remove it. It could also be a parasite living under your cats skin. You should have it looked at just in case.

It sounds like it might be a tick. Does she go outside at all? She could pick one up there. It looks like a little bubble of blood, not a scab. My Amber had one on her chin a couple of months ago. It took a week or ten days for it to go away.
If you get terribly worried about such things with your cat you should have a vet check it out. They can remove the head of the tick or just tell you to wait till it absorbs into her body.

If your cat is an indoor & out door cat, I'm guessing that your cat may have either been in a fight or been attacted. That's just a guess. It could be that the cat may have somthing like a rash. You should probably take the cat to the vet as soon as possible. You never know it could be serious?

she may have scratched her ear a bit too vigorously and opened the skin enough to bleed and form a scab. Earmites or ear infection could cause a cat to scratch and scratch. Observe. If still uncomfortable, call a vet and ask if it should be seen.

I would definately take her to the vet. It could be a tick buried in her skin. She could of gotten in a scuffle with another cat. I have learned over the years with my 4 cats, you don't mess with things like this. It could be a bad infection. I've had a cat bit twice by a spider. Spider bites can kill a cat. It could be that too. Sounds like she may need anti-biotics. It would pay to be safe than sorry.

He could have scratched it on something or got into a cat fight if he is an outdoor cat. Put some triple antibiotic on it and give him some wet cat food for the next couple of days.
