not much, maybe a blade of it and now he won't stop acting like he's gonna throw up. is there anything i can give him to make him throw up the piece of grass? i have let him eat more grass (not near the weed killer grass) all he seems to be doing is dry heaving or throwing up bits of saliva. will he be ok?

Okay all vets are closed right. I had a kitten one time fall in bucket of paint while i was painting the living room. I had no idea that it had happen, one minute he was sitting by my feet the next second he was in paint head first. He went in face first. I managed to get him out and clear his airway and flush his eye, i was very concerned about that he may have ingested some of the paint, there were no vets open any where, I called poison control, they are good very good, they helped me find out if what the paint was made of would hurt him. They told me what to do.
I am not sure what state you are in so go to this link

It will give you the number to poison control in your state. I honestly do not think a month old weed killer will hurt him, as most off it has washed away, in addition cat almost always vomit after eating grass,
This link will also help you to research this

he will be fine, I wish you the best.

Well if all the vets are closed the best thing to do would be just make sure it has a lot of water or milk to drink dilute and dissolve the poison and not leave it there in its digestive tract. it probably will eventually throw up the poison and be ok. don't take this too seriously, it's just a little weed killer, the cat's behavior will only be for a day tops.

Your cat should be OK if he just ate one blade and the weed killer is a month old... Signs of poisoning are: drooling, small pupils, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, muscle tremors, weakness, paralysis, restlessness, seizures, coma.
Cats usually retch and vomit after they've eaten grass. In fact most of the time they eat grass to induce this vomiting because their stomachs don't feel too right.
But if you are very worried, induce vomitiing by grabbing hold of your cat by the scruff of its neck, open his mouth and tickle his throat with one of those cotton bud tips we clean our ears with.
Or, you can get ACTIVATED CHARCOAL available in tablet or liquid form over the counter of your local drugstore. It is a messy procedure but the recommended initial dose is: 1 - 4 grms per body weight (2 - 8 gms per kilogram weight). So, sometimes multiple capsules are needed even for small pets. The liquid form is more effective.
BUT REALLY, I feel your darling oussycat will be OK.

Being that the cat continually tries to expell the foriegn stuff.........this is indicating that he is not beign very successful at it........then he may have some level of poinsoning........i'd SO much rather get him the medical attention he MAY need then watch him feeling like crap and puking and saving myself $50!!!

Call your vet....most likely he will finally throw it up, but try yo get him to drink milk or water to dilute the poison.

I doubt that much will do more than make him sick. Cats and dogs eat grass when their tummy is bothering them so they do through up.
