Mail in your trash folder is not counted toward your quota, however mail in your trash folder can be deleted at any time. Once messages are emptied from the trash folder, they are permanently deleted from the Yahoo! Mail server and cannot be recovered.
Mail in your inbox and other folders will be kept there until you choose to delete it.
If your messages fill your capacity, you'll need to delete some of them (from your sent folder, for example) in order to make room for new messages. To save a message or attachment for later viewing, download it before deleting it.
You can choose how long you want to keep messages in your bulk mail folder. You can choose to immediately delete upon receipt or keep messages for one week, two weeks, or one month. The default setting is one month.
To edit this feature:
Click "Mail Options."
Click "Spam Protection."
Select "Save these messages in the bulk folder."
Choose a desired timeframe from the pull-down menu.
Important: Occasionally, valid email messages may be perceived as spam and delivered to the bulk folder. Please note that if you select the "Delete immediately" option, you will not have an opportunity to review the messages in your bulk folder before they are deleted.
Click "Save Changes."
