My friend from the Bahamas wants to come over, what does he need to do? I heard he should find an immigration agent...how would he even go about doing that?

If he/she has close relatives who are citizens living in the US they can file for your friend. I have heard, depending on the country and the relationship it could take as long as 12 years. Your friend could get married to a US citizen (for love of course) this may take a few weeks or months. Some employers may sponsor a person to come to the US to work if they cannot find someone here to do the work for example nurses and teachers. The other way is to come on a student visa. After completing his/her studies (depending on the studies and the type of visa) he/she can work for 1 year to get work experience.

Do a search for US immigration and Naturalization service. The process will be on their website.

Just go to an American consulate. Everything you need to know is there.
