I always laugh when I see people coming out with corkers like its only a low level probelm in the U.K.I can tell they dont come from working class areas as that is where all these immigrants are housed.
The problem as always that there are far too many asylum seekers infesting the U.K and puting huge strain on our already stretched services.Free health care sir? Step right this way. It doesnt help that they usually make no effort to learn English or event to pay tax on the jobs they take not forgetting the fact that they work for a pittance and that drives everybodys wage down.
Also the government need to stop being so limp wristed too. When someone is found to be here illegaly they should be deported right away instead of endless appeals.

Like the US we are a mongeral nation that has benifitted from the different cultures we have assimilated. There is some low level concern, as there is with any change, however, most immigrants have come here to either benefit from our liberal society or make money. In my mind both are welcome. But it is important that our ways, moral codes (in some areas) should be what they are striving to achieve and I think time will tell that this is what they are trying to do. (Sorry about the spelling - bit pissed!)

The only "problem" that I've heard regarding England and any immigration issues is regarding Poland. I read that as soon as they were accepted into the EU, half a million people arrived, two-thirds of those from Poland. I really doubt that any country has it as bad as the United States when it comes to immigration problems.
The link below is the story regarding Britain and immigration.

The British people are worried with immigrants because they perceive the bombings in their country as orchestrated by terrorists whose only entry to UK is through immigration.

At least Brits really belong to their country, meanwhile white americans are immigrants descendant of people that entered, stolen lands from natives, and now they don't want immigrants, specially people from this continent(America).

well, we are not screaming "the sky is falling" over our immigration problems. there are some concerns but we're not blowing it out of proportion. we know that there are other more pressing issues that we need to address. our worldview reaches beyond out border.
