It is probably Newfoundland and Labrador you are looking for.
Newfoundland being the Rock, and Labrador being on the mainland. That is the the Province where it is almost equal.
Nova Scotia also fits.
As does British Columbia also. But BC has a lot more islands, and 3 large ones.

So is British Columbia. It includes Vancouver Island. The Maritime Province could also qualify.
