Before you remove the Yahoo toolbar, I suggest you look into other things:

- Are you running a complex screensaver in the background? Suffocates memory.
- Check your startup. How many programs are loaded. Load just those you use daily.
- Did you run an error check? My Computer, Properties, Tools
- In IE, Tools, Internet Options - delete cookies, delete files
- Are you running multiple programs simultaneously with limited RAM?
- When did you last defrag?
- from Start,Run type msconfig renew
- Are you in a large file? If so, save your work frequently to save memory.

Try some home remedies before you uninstall the toolbar. I think the Yahoo toolbar is probably the least of your worries.

You'll have to find the setup log file for it. Parse this file, and remove (MANUALLY) All the referenced files

Also pay close attention to Registry settings it has created (Also in the setup log. Un-Installers leave many files undeleted, As does using Windows Add/Remove programs.

As far as PERMANENTLY, You'll just have to WATCH what you click on, And look CLOSELY at the checkboxes when you install anything. It Comes as a Hich-hiker on many other programs.

EG: Antispy , Yahoo Messenger...

As to the Taking up too much memory part. You can add or remove functons to and from it Verry easily to lessen the ram load.
