You should drink fluids,so you don't get dehydrated. It would be best if you drank water or milk.

Before you start....drink water, quite a bit of water is good before you start. AFter the game starts grab sips of water every now and then when you can. but not too much...i hated trying to start the 2nd half with too much water in my stomach. AFter the game and you sweat everything out is when gatorade or something with electrolytes is best...youdon't really need them before because you haven't lost any nutrients yet....

Maybe you could buy an energy drink. For protein, you could have a cheese sandwich. One small block of cheese is enough calcium to last you a DAY. Oh, & if you buy an energy drink (not sure how good they work), make sure you buy it soon cuz you're supposed to drink those bout 1 or 2 hrs b/f you want/need energy. Good luck on your game !!! :)

Some carbs--whole wheat bread, potato, veggies, etc--to give you energy. Be careful with cheese and milk and dairy.. make sure to test it out first cause it DOES have a tendency to give you more or a stomach ache sometimes if you exercise after.
