I liked this girl and thought she liked me. One day our mutual friend asked her if she would go out with me, and this girl said yeah but I can't because of school. So I take it as a sign I should do something. But I did and now we aren't talking anymore and she admits to saying that but only cause she did not want to hurt my feelings if she told the truth (not liking me). So is that messed up or what?

lol..it's a catch 22.... she did say that she Can't cuz of school.. how come people never listen??
also, u know what... GOOD FOR YOU. i think i'ts great that u can ask someone out, and it's ur chance to be a man by reacting in a Positive way.. make sure u are an awesome guy, a great person...that way, this girl is missing out, u know?? so it's ok that she said no, u'll find someone who is completely Dying and Happy to be with someone like you! have that attitude... but make sure u work on urself too, so that u are worth thinking that way. also, look for a girl who does the same, who is confident, happy, positive. no matter what happens, as long as u seek what is Happy, Healthy and Positive, u will always be able to come out of obstacles on your two feet~

It's better to be honest from get go, so your not leading anyone on. But some people really struggle with the truth to save someones feelings, but the way i see it, i'm going to be more hurt once i've found out the truth.

she tried to be nice by saying that. if she made an excuse already it's because she doesn't want to date you. you probably got mixed signals about her likeing you because of her being nice towards you, it happens quite a lot. I do agree it's messed up because she should have been straight forward with her answer but don't worry there are many more girls out there.

Do you go to school 24 hours a day? I find it hard to believe your schedule is too demanding for a date. Either way, yes that is messed up and immature of her, she should have just been direct.

Usually, when a girl makes up a halfhearted excuse for why she can't date you, it means she's trying to let you down easy.
