Everytime I have sex with a guy I end up with a UTI. I have tried different types of condoms, no condoms, extra lube, everything. I always go to the bathroom right after having sex and I usually always wipe myself with a warm washcloth. Can someone help explain maybe to me why this is going on? I am going to the dr in a couple days to see what they tell me.

It's been with every serious bf i've had and that's only been 3. I do drink tons of water, and I can't stand cranberry juice, but i drink it. I'm also allergic to yogurt and most dairy....so i'm stuck in the dark a lil.

Ignore all the rude answers. You get bladder infections and UTI after sex because of bacteria. As soon as you are finished the act go straight to the bathroom and pee( works for me) If you continue to get them talk to your family doctor and ask her to prescribe something. You can take a certain antibotic only after sex that will prevent UTI.
Good Luck

I totally agree with Untameablewild's chick! I have a friend who used to go through the same thing and it was partially because they (she and her boyfriend) would come home after work and just strip down and do the damn thang, I personally think that's disgusting my fiance works in an office all day and I sell cars! we don't do anything hands on but I still don't want him touching me without a shower! If the guy your having sex with isn't washing his hands at least before touching you down there then you should make him do so! Protecting yourself doesn't just stop at using condoms!! Drink lots of milk and eat yogurt, if it's really serious take Vitamin D supplements and drink plenty of water if you do!! I heard they can cause liver problems when taken too often without enough water!!

wait until you go the doctor. many have a reaction to condoms or to lube. if it's happening all the time you might have an infection that can easily be cured. remember what they say...once you start having sex you need to go get a pap smear which is most likley what your going to get when you go to the dr. only the doc can help you in this situation. good Luck!!

You just have to make sure you really clean yourself afterwards. Washcloths alone might not help. Maybe douching? And drink lots of water, and cranberry juice helps too.
Good luck girlie!

He needs to take a shower, or wash his hands or w/e. To cut down on bacteria, and you need to drink things high in pH, and eat yogurt. I have the same problem.

Like you said, use the bathroom before and after. It also helps to shower, or at least wash the area before and after too. Drink plenty of fluids afterwards to encourage voiding to help push any bacteria out of the urethra.

a guy? one guy? guys plural? ~ it could be from the person(s) you are with. Stay with one partner and if you get infections from him, have him get checked out.
