You might want to reassure yourself that your mic is working O.K. Click on START click on Control Panel. Click on Audio Devices. A new window will pop up. Click on the Voice Tab. About 2/3 of the way down the page is an option to test the microphone while you watch the results. If it isn't working, a "wizard" will help you solve the problem.

Maybe you need to enable the microphone in the volume control menu on the tool bar, or enable mic boost. It is usualy disabled by default you need to double click the volume control, go to properties, select mic, the make sure that it is enabled in the volume control , if you have an advanced tab beneath it you can activate mic boost from.

Try using the sound testing in Yahoo messenger.... It tells you whether your mic's working or not - might be in tools in messenger.

I would suggest that you go back to the store where you purchased it and ask them what can be done. If nothing, then get your money back or get a different one. If they have a computer dept. you can also ask one of the techs for help. Did you check all of your connections?
