we are given a physical container in which our souls and spirits are contained so they can move around on this plane of existence. when the agenda of gathering the necessary wisdom and knowledge and teaching same are done the physical container returns to the place from whence it came freeing the soul and spirit allowing them to move to a different plane of existence.

What lives on? Is it a 'spirit'? What is the spirit? Does it see, think, remember, hear? How can it do all those things when we see that when the brain is damaged, people lose capabilties? Damage it enough and the 'self' seems to go away. Isn't the spirit/soul just a bodyless version of our personality - something that people project? I think there is no self at all - not in this life, not ever. And that when someone has an enlightenment experience, they experience themselves as everything and they experience the self (body, personality, brain, etc.) as fictional. Once that experience is had, whatever happens to the body and the psychological self is meaningless (because that's not what/who we are). And this is ONLY meaningful w/ a direct experience; EVERY answer to this question (including mine) is just a set of concepts and beliefs.

Reincarnation is true,
To all those dont believe and asking for the proof, ask ureself this question:
1. Who is typing the wording? izzit u? this piece of body+your soul?
Once u are dead the soul will come out of the body and Reincarnation...the more good deed u do, next life u will Reincarnation into a wealthy family, enjoying good health, happiness....the more u kill, next life u will being killed that's for sure. A life for a life....so don't kill any life form coz they are like us scare of death, take for example if u want to kill a group of ants, they sure run, just like human...i dont think u have u seen any fish/ animals who don't struggle, when death comes?
why still wants Reincarnation? are u sure when u Reincarnation and it is not a sure things u will become a human again .
u can become an animals, insects, fish ect....
unless u still want to reincarnation, u need to recite the word "Namo Amitabha", he is a king of buddha and he will fatch u to heaven after ur dead, and he promise this within ure 49 days(see below)
someone might ask :
if that is true there is after life then how come budda hasn't reappeared ?
--->>>Buddha did appear, and it at your home: YOUR PARENTS, they are the buddha, the love for their children is like Buddha showing great passion to bring u up, to feed u, to give u education and ect....if they are not, dont tell me ure neighbour/friends parents will give u all these need since young right?
******************************
someone was say about reincarnate things:
the human body is run by what we call the brain, even though it is still not widely accepted, the what makes the brain work is called the soul, and the soul is made up energy. This energy is not normal energy, it is concious energy. Now when we die this energy does not die it leaves, the soul wanders off and explores or gets reincarnated .
--->>>An addition to add, our body was form by 4 things: earth, water, fire, wind....Earth - your body, Water - Your blood/ semen, Fire - Body temperature, Wind - The Air u breath in/out....when body starts to die, these 4 things collapes one after another and the body is useless...the soul will wonder in the atmosphere for 49 days...in these 49 days what we say GHOST.
******************************...
And someone who don't believe in Buddhism:
Buddhism is a false religion. There is no such thing as Reincarnation. It simply does not happen and that is not the meaning of life. You are not reborn into something else like a cow, a dog or a tree or another person. That is simply rediculous and it is NOT what the true living God has in store for human beings.
--->>>If Buddhism is a false things then why its exist a few thousand years till now?...statues, books...are proof. if u say its a false things then so are all religion/teaching.
*******************************************
*******************************************
Buddhism is not a religion to me but a teaching... Buddha is a teacher who teaches mankind how to end suffering....no one wants old, sickness and death....but how to avoid is the question.
Then who is typing ? a Reincarnation body is the one who type, u indeed lucky to become human again, this is because u have done good deed in our previous life , but let me tell u, u wont be that lucky if u kill too much....coz a life for a life.
We Buddist believe that: what u did in your previous life is a result of what u are now, good deed/evil u done in this life will affect ure next life.
We Buddhists do not believe that death is the end of life. When one dies, one's consciousness leaves and enters one of the six paths of rebirth. they are:
Heavenly Beings
Humans
Asuras - are beings who have many good things in life, but still like to fight. They appear in the heavens or on earth as people or animals.
Hungry ghosts - are beings who suffer from constant hunger.
Hell-beings
These are the six states on the wheel of life. At the top are the heavens, where everyone is happy. Below are the hells where the suffering is unbearable. Beings can rise or fall from one path to another. If one does good deeds, one will be born into the paths of gods, humans, or asuras. If one does evil deeds, one will be born into the paths of animals, hungry ghosts, or hell-beings. From one life to the next one can suddenly change from an human to an animal or from a ghost to a hell-being, according to the things one has done.
How to Escape the Turning Wheel
The wheel of life and death is kept turning by the three poisons of greed, hatred, and stupidity. By cutting off the three poisons, we can escape the wheel and become enlightened. There are four stages of enlightenment:
Buddhas- perfect in enlightenment.
Bodhisattvas- enlighten themselves as well as others.
Pratyekabuddhas- hermits who retreat from the world to enlighten themselves.
Arhats- enlighten themselves.
Namo Amitabha!

I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and three days later came back to life.
Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn't be enough for them to have a so-called "near-death" experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn't be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.
But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that "he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living" (1 Corinthians 15:6).
How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God's only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, "I am the resurrection and the life. ... Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.
HEAVEN
Heaven for the Christian will be a place of glorious life that will never end. Joy inexpressible, limitless peace, pure love, beauty beyond description—that's what heaven is. Greatest of all will be the presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, with whom we will enjoy fellowship forever. Loved ones who have known and loved the Lord will be there. Revelation 21:2 says, "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."
Heaven will be a place in which its inhabitants will be freed from the fears and insecurities that plague and haunt us in the present life. No energy crisis there ... Free from the economic and financial pressures that burden us down here. Free from the fear of personal and physical harm ... No fear of personal failure ... Our relationship with Him will be intimate and direct. I'm looking forward to that glorious day of going to heaven.
"Heaven will be what we have always longed for. It will be the new social order that men dream of. All the things that have made earth unlovely and tragic will be absent in heaven. There will be no night, no death, no disease, no sorrow, no tears, no ignorance, no disappointment, no war. It will be filled with happiness, worship, love, perfection and other good qualities. Heaven will be a place to challenge the creative genius of the unfettered mind of redeemed man." Revelation 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
However, the Bible makes clear that there is only one way to heaven, and that is through repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ who said, "I am the way ..." (John 14:6). Jesus paid for our sins through His death on the cross. God offers us the free gift of friendship with Him in this life and eternal life in heaven when we die if we will but turn from sin and trust in Jesus as our Savior and Lord. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved ..." (Acts 16:30).
HELL
Not one word in the Bible suggests that hell is a pleasant place, or a place where anyone would ever want to go. Jesus called hell a place of "outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 25:30, KJV). In one of His parables, Jesus told of a man who was in hell, begging for someone to come and "cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire" (Luke 16:24). The only companions anyone will have in hell will be "the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).
There is much we don't know about hell—but we know all we need to know. And the most important thing we know about hell is that we don't have to go there! Yes, we have sinned, and we deserve only God's judgment. But God loves us, and Christ came to deliver us from hell and welcome us into heaven forever.
Don't take hell lightly—but don't take Christ lightly, either. Instead, by a simple prayer of faith ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your life today. The Bible's promise is true: "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).

Something cannot disappear into nothing. Your body and brain are controled by your Spirit, when you die the Spirit leaves your body and goes some other place.
