No, if you where to say he was like 35 or older, that would be another story. 8 years ain't bad.

I really don't see anything wrong with you dating someone who is older than you, really when it comes down to it in relationships age is only a number (within the law) it's about maturity and really if you can make a connection which can be hard with a large generation gap, however you two are just at opposite ends of the same generation..A lot of people look down on my boyfriend and I because we have a 14 year age difference but if you live life according to the opinions of others you will miss the good things sweetie

Age factor ? What age factor? are you barely 18 and he 69? That's an age factor! Lucky you found someone mature and someone with whom U GET ALONG WELL ! What would you prefer, your man or some drooling mama's boy who's only looking to score? And probably the only book he has ever read was the subtitle for animated film jungle book. Don't make problems when there are none!
Be happy, don't hold yourself , enjoy life as much as you can! He has xpirienced the world, you are just starting to... There is plenty of time for problems, unfortunately, that's what life is. Make sure you get best of it! (BTW, I know what I'm talking about, I'm 18 and my man is 29...)

I dated a guy that was nine years older than me. I was 19 and he was 28 and it did not work. He was in Military and got station to Japan for three years. We have kept in contact and I have never love any man like I love him. He loves me as well but you should know that age can be factor.

No there isn't no problem with the both of your ages now take my friend she is 33 and her husband is 72 and they have been married since she was 16 now that is a huge ridiculous age difference.

I dont think the age difference is that great, and if you both get on really well what is the problem?? If anything this guy would be mature enough to know what he wants in life, and maybe you are that special person? who knows, Just relax and enjoy his company.

Age is only a factor if you make it one, if you have the right chemistry age should not be an issue.

I don't think it's that big of a deal. My bf and I are 9 years apart. It gets kind of complicated sometimes; like when I'm going to class, and he's going to work. We get along well, and when I get my degree I know it'll be less hectic.

Don't worry about the age difference, Like I always say: DON'T REGRET ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU SMILE. Just enjoy your life with him and stop worrying about the future, cross that bridge when it really becomes a problem
