I believe it because it is the only real truth left in this world. Man will constantly seek truth in other places even if he has to make it up because he hates God and doesn't want to be beholden to anyone. Isn't it ironic? God offers us true freedom and all the lost wants to do is be tied to some unreal religion or truths of their own making.

Let's put denominations aside and religion as whole as well for a moment and examine a simple question: Is there more to life than what we experience from birth to death?
Coming from a philosophical background, I find a view of nothingness after death to be seriously lacking for various reasons. Philosophers through the centuries have pondered this same question as have theologians. Given the growing evidence of NDE (Near Death Experiences) and what follows is astounding. It could well be the experience of the brain shutting down. On the other hand, there does seem to be too much of a common thread among their experiences.
Our life here on Earth is too short in terms of cosmic time. Our being is too much seeking the beyond to be bound to a temporal body. We cannot know for certain what lies beyond death. What we do know is that there is mounting evidence that something does exist beyond the here and now. What exactly that is, we do not know for certain.
What we do know is that Jesus (based on historical evidence closer to the source than the Gnostic Gospels penned at least 150 years after his death) is that he did have quite a few insights beyond the here and now. Prophet, Son of God, or a crazy man makes no difference. If there is an element of truth in his words, then any person who gambles are going to place their bets on him.
If you lose, you lose nothing. If you win, you gain everything. From my perspective, it's a no brainer. Live life accordinng to the law of love and maybe, just maybe you will enter into that love for all of eternity.

Don't you think the verse you mentioned above is against Trinity?
I mean why would someone say, to reach at A, you need to go through B. Obviously, A and B are not one in this case.

know that nobody believes that. even jesus peace be upon him doesn t belive that , but he belives that he is just profet from GOD and the GOD is worshipped directly, you can ask him derictly. But don t ask jesus he is human like you but he is a profet. jesus is innocent about what christians say about him.
THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH , JESUS IS PROPHET FROM ALLAH.

Actually, Jesus never said that. He denied worshippers, for he stated he was a son of God, as all other people are children of God.

Horus also said that he was the Way, the Truth and the Light (you misquoted Yeshua there, by the way--he said "light" also).
I think Mithra was called this too...
creepy.

Its basically the creed of christianity. If we don't believe it, we're not christians, hence calling ourselves "Christ"ians.

And why are these words anymore special than say, the Qur'an? The vedas? Or any other sacred text?
Frankly, I'll trust modern thinkers over a Jewish carpenter 2000 thousand years dead...
