That was the flooring in my home that I built last year. I chose a light yellow walls for my kitchen and my countertops were the terra cotta color. For my accessories in my kitchen, I chose the blue and white "blue willow" pattern and it all pulled togther beautifully. Everyone complimented me on this. Oh, and my cabinets, appliances and baseboards were white.

For the rest of the house I went with browns and oranges... well "earthy" tones. Everything was beautiful.

Terra cotta is in my bathroom, I think go into the browns... like a beige, sand color.... Dont be afraid of color. you can choose what ever you want, I think it is better to choose at least two colors for a room. A light color, and a darker color. My house has color in every room!! I have at least two colors in each room... My living room is actually a brown color and blue. It's like a southwest theme. it's hard to choose, so many colors and so many ideas!!
HGTV has alot of ideas, if you have not yet, you should watch it if you have cable. that is where I got the color ideas for my house.

I'm thinking yellowish oranges and brown shades as well the blues will be nice if your house has a spanish style to it but I would use blue tile not blue paint. Good luck
