Anyone had solu-medrol IV for MS?

Question

Specifically for vision problems. Did it help?
I started IV treatments this morning. I've almost completely lost the vision in my right eye. I'd just like to hear something positive from someone whose had the same experience.

I have MS and my very symptom was optic neuritis in my right eye. I had home IV solu-medrol and I lost complete vision in that eye. Unfortunately my optic nerve never bounced back to normal and I'm considered legally blind in that eye. However-the positive is that studies have shown that if treatment was started for optic neuritis-specifically solu-medrol it can offer an aprox 5 year protection against more MS symptoms. It wasn't until 5 years until my first episode with my vision that I had problems with my right leg and was officially diagnosed with MS-by way of another MRI-spinal tap and lab work. I'm now taking Copaxone and have been flare-up free for more than 5 years. I have a great proactive neurologist and much faith that I'll live to see a cure!! There's much more to my story-but there are positives-many more than negatives. Is this your first flare-up with MS. How long have you been diagnosed? Do you take any of the meds for MS?
