I am going in Saturday to see a show at 2 and then go to dinner. What is a good place to eat dinner? Not too expensive, just a good restaurant. *WE ARE NOT TOURISTS!*

There are plenty of great restaurants on 9th Ave. - pretty much any kind of cuisine that you would like. And it is not as much of a tourist trap as places right on Broadway.

Xing - 9th Ave. @ 52nd is a really cool place, and has good Asian food.

Yum Yum - not fancy, but really good Thai on 9th between 45th & 46th

Hourglass Cafe - I think this is on 47th Street - they get you in and out in an hour for pre-theater! Very cool, old NYC place.

I also like Osteria al Doge, on 44th between 6th & 7th. Really nice Italian food, good prices and good service.

Listen to iguana's suggestion. I would definitely go there or anywhere on Restaurant Row (46th Street) for a fixed price menu.

Churriscarria Plataforma...it's a Brazilian Steakhouse. They have prix fix menu and it ROCKS...I love meat and this place is like the mothership for carnivores.

John's Pizza
Excellent pizza and they work around your theatre schedule.
It is a very historic building, a church I believe
Everyone I know who has been to or lives around there talks about Johns.
