Even if I could have 10 more minutes I would choose to spend it with my brother who passed away goin on 2 years January 1st. We were best friends even though we were 10 years apart in age. In a family of 10 we were the 2 who stuck together. I guess you could consider us the black sheep of the family. On the day of his death he had called me in the morning but I had cut our conversation short because at the time I was pregnant and I was feeling ill and tired. I never told him that I loved him that day, which I usually always did. But for some reason I failed to tell him that. Isn't always those 3 little words that have great meaning but you take for granted? I miss my brother so much and if I only had those 10 minutes with him I would hold him tight and tell him how much I love him.

I would tell him how much he meant to me, for starters. And then I would tell him, "If you need me to walk with you and never leave your side, that would be a small request verses never seeing you or talking to you again. Please don't give up! Don't leave the message behind to loved ones, that when times get really tuff, that its OK to check out this way. Let me help you and all you need to do, is lean on me." Why did I put it off? I wasn't given the option because I never knew he was in that much mental and physical pain.

I uprooted my family and moved 650 miles home to take care of my terminally ill mom. I was blessed with prior knowledge of her death so there was nothing I didn't say, do or regret. If I had another hour with her, I'd put the coffee on (our little tradition) and just enjoy one more hour with her.

I would say welcome back, then we would just hold each other. nothing has to be said, he knows. and when the hour is up i will give him a kiss, hug and remind him what an impact he had on everyone he met in his life. and how his illness and death made his friends think about life and how precious it is. when you're 20 you think you will live forever and sometimes that isn't always true. i love you j.m.m.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would let her know that it is ok to go and I would miss her, but be o.k. until we meet again. Never thought I would lose her!
