Some are serious, and some are joking. Using blonde as an excuse when you make a mistake or do something stupid is accepted. People are also surprised if a blonde is smart, so they don't seem to have high expectations of a blondes intellect. I have recently gone brunette, and people now treat me like I have a brain, miss been blonde though

Judging by your spelling....j/k. Some people are serious, others are not. I am a brunette and I am proof that not all blondes have blond hair. When they say "dumb blond" they are referring more to a type than a haircolor. Take it with a grain of salt and try not to fit the profile. They've said for years that blondes have more fun, so blondes can't be that stupid because they (apparently) know something we don't! Then there's that joke that you can drown a blond by placing a scratch-n-sniff sticker at the bottom of the pool....the stickers don't say they are scratch-n-sniff, so I say a blond might look but I doubt they'd inhale it!

YOU are not helping the reputation of blonds. Just look at your own question: No capitalization, improper spelling, punctuation, and word separation.

No they don't mean it. At least everybody that I know who say it are. Some people are just stupid and actually believe they are. Don't worry about it though.
