I don't like going to a restaurant where my request for a Coke is met with disbelief and dis-sembling; so they are owned by Pepsi; couldn't they still serve they public ?
It might be interesting for folks to know that there was a Mr.Bell, who started several fast food taco shops (mostly in the L A area) but didn't find real success until he invented the wire holder that allowed the taco shells to be fried into the characteristic shape (i.e. quick fried). His next, and successful restaurant was "Taco Bell", and it became widely franchised.
He later re-modeled a farm into a display layout with small trains circulating so that school children could be bussed in to see what the different vegetables looked like being grown on a farm. It was a very popular field trip, north east of Valley Center, in San Diego county, California. It continued some months after his death, but I think it has been closed now.

"StarLink," a variety of genetically-engineered corn not approved for human consumption, was initially detected in September of 2000 in Taco Bell taco shells distributed by Kraft Foods, Inc. The tests that identified the presence of StarLink were conducted for the watchdog group "Friends of the Earth" by Genetics ID, an independent testing lab. Kraft issued a voluntarily recall of the taco shells that might have contained processed StarLink corn.

Hey Alone,
I agree on the Wendy's point! ($1 menu can't be beat -- The potatoes and the Jr. sized burgers)
But on the Taco question....
Yo Quero!
I gotta go with Taco Bell!
Reason:
Cahlupa's!
Heart Attack on a platter - but at least I'll go with a smile!

I really like Del-taco. The food is cooked on premise. They have a good bean burrito. The fries are good. They have variety on the menu. They use real cheese, beans, and meat that doesn't come in a bag and need to be reconstituted with water. They do serve coke, I believe. They are always friendly and have hot food.

Taco Bell by far! If I could, I'd eat there every day of my life. I'd also weigh 800 pounds. But seriously, have you ever tasted their Crunch Wrap Supremes? If you have, I don't think you'd be asking this question.

I've never heard of Delltaco, but I don't think they can beat Taco bell. I love their all beef chalupas, but not all of them make them the same way and I think you just have to pick and choose. I usually ask them to be sure and put more sour cream on them.
