The Egyptians were not part of Mesopotamia, but residents of Egypt. The inhabitants of Mesopotamia were Assyrians, Babylonians, and Sumerians. Look up some of their inventions: wheel, lens, glass, irrigation system, first written language, etc.

Mesopotamia is between two rivers (Meso-between, potamia-rivers), namely, the Tigris and the Euphrates. Last time I checked, Egypt isn't in Iraq.
You might want to look in a book or something.
