If boyfriend and girlfriend together purchase airline tickets together under one reservation code to go abroad via a travel agent and girlfriend wants to cancel the flight, does the reservation stay the same for the boyfriend? In my scenario, boyfriend wants to continue with the travel plan, but girlfriend doesn't.

You didn't really indicate so I'm going to put this depending on your scenario. If you have air and hotel and you take one person off the record most likely you wouldn't get anything back for the hotel because hotels are based off double occupancy. If you cancel just a ticket because both of you have a ticket with say a scheduled airline that is fine. However that ticket is probably non-refundable and non-name transferable. Depending on the airline will determine the length of time you have to reissue this.

I'm a travel agent and I really can't even answer this for you because there are so many possibilities depending on how it is booked. This isn't something to ask anyone in yahoo answers because no one on here can give you an accurate answer except your travel agent that booked your reservations. They can give you the correct cancellation penalties.

Yes, this is possible to do. The reservation is first divided, then the reservation of the person that does not want to travel is cancelled.
