I hope we are all prepared for the Day of Judgment. Hopefully, by then we have all repented and we all have a shot at heaven.

Well, maybe humans will be extinct as well as other living things but I doubt that the "world" is about to end any time soon. I don't think much of it though, I just live in the moment and don't worry about it. People have been saying that the end of the world is coming since religions began, so I don't fear any religious doctrines at all.

You know, I'm pushing 40 yrs & people have been saying that all of my life. Heck, they've been saying it all of my parents life.
The truth is, nobody knows if or when. I'm sure it *will* one day from one event or the other but there's no way to predict.
So why worry about something you don't have control over?
I guess I'm as ready now as I will be in 10 yrs, 40 yrs, etc.
And at least if the whole entire world comes to an end, I won't have to pay my taxes and my family won't have to shell out $$$ for a funeral. So...it's all good.

At some point in time the world, just like individual life will come to an end. So why think or really fret about something we all know will occur eventually.

The "world" that is coming to an end is not the earth, but actually the "world" of ungodly people who are alienated from God. Note what the Bible says about the earth:

Ecclesiastes 1:4 - A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.

Ps. 104:5 - He has founded the earth upon its established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.

Consider God's words at Ps. 37:29 - “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."

How would this be possible if the earth were destroyed?

I think that you are right! However, the earth itself will not come to an end. Just wicked mankind. There will be righteous, meek and humble people left over in it. Those are the ones who will then live forever on a paradise earth as promised since the beginning of the earth and its first parents. That's why man was created for the earth in the first place and why they were told they would live forever upon it.

Death is the natural conclusion to life. I think it's unfortunate that militant religious zealots will be the reason the world ends... but that's life. That simply proves that we, as a species, just haven't evolved enough. It's probably a good thing we won't live on.

You're right, it will come to an end in a couple million years when the sun begins to expand to a red giant, or goes nova.

Scary and sad for those who choose not the believe. Happy that the evil in this world will come to an end and yet sad for us who care for the lost.

In witness of me and God, you honestly think YOUR name is in the book of life!

You a saint!

I ain't never met a saint!

If the Internet is the beast (www=666) then you already have the mark of the beast!

If that's the case you name ain't in the book.

You ready for that, or would you like the world to continue a little longer so you have more time to recondider things, repent and make sure you're living your life right.

You only get one chance with God.
