what is the point in telling me i am going to burn in hell and hurl other threats at me when i tell someone sorry i am not interested or have a different belief?
do you think these threats will make me change my mind and see things your way or just make me combative as well?

im a cristian and i believe that it is really wrong that some one would do that to you. were only suppose to tell you what we believe is real in the right situations but if someone is harrassing you they are wrong. although i can want you too believe what i think is true i still dont believe you should be harrassed abot it. as the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink." trying force you to believe what we believe is definetly not going to work.

Don't worry about burning in hell...God doesn't send people to such a place for eternal torment. The word "hell" actually refers to the common grave of mankind. Thus, you will not be burning when you die. Here's what the Bible says about the condition of the dead at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6:
For the living are conscious that they will die; BUT AS FOR THE DEAD, THEY ARE CONSCIOUS OF NOTHING AT ALL, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. Also, THEIR LOVE AND THEIR HATE AND THEIR JEALOUSY HAVE ALREADY PERISHED, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
So dead people don't think or feel and can't communicate with the living. Oh if only people would READ their Bibles. :)

Yeah, shaking me over hell on the end of a rotten stick didn't do anything to change my mind and get me saved either. And, yeah, I eventually got combative myself toward Christians because of this very tendency.
But things change. And I changed. And I'm just here to let you know that should you ever want to know, Jesus is there for you. If everyone else forsakes you, He will take up your part. And He will never forsake you.

Will: would you consider it a "act of aggression" if the OP were to tell you that you are going to burn in hell etc. if you don't change from being a christian and follow his beliefs instead?

I am neither christian or atheist.. however many christians do that and try to convert people no matter the cost because they are honestly led to believe that is their life purpose. A bit sad and overwhelming for those that like to have their own mind and have their own thoughts - not to mention annoying lol.

The person who threatens someone is not CHRIST IAN .. because to be christian means to be christ LIKE ... I don't remember Christ doing this kind of thing so you?
So I guess this person would just be some screwed up schmo ... an maybe they think they are doing the right thing maybe not
However what ever their reasons might be You are the one that needs to keep your cool Because if they are just trying to antagonize you then you don't want to let them win do you?

honestly, i am a christian and i wuld nevr say anything like that. maybe theres sumthing seriously screwed up about them. telling someone that theyre going to burn in hell just bcuz theyre not interested in being a christian is not jus gonna make them convert, tellin them about jesus and what he did for us shuld tho. if ur seriously not interested in converting then thats up 2 u, their threats shuldnt phase u

It's a Christians duty to get into other people's business. Kinda sad. But Atheists are just as bad. To each his own and live and let live. I'm no Christian, and frankly, I think both belief systems spend way too much time on each other. Y'all bore the shyt outta me.

sorry you look at them as threats, most of us are lacking in tact, but we really do have your best intrests at heart, we don't want to see you burn, don't want to smell it either, but dude, if that is what you have choosen for yourself, and there is nothing we can do to change your mind, it's your choice, dude flame on!
