Beleive it or not, they do not want outsiders help. Outsiders are what brought this to them....

If you want to help, teach your children about the dangers of violence and about tolerance for ALL people and ALL beleifs.

It matters NOT what happened to this man 20 years ago. It is not an excuse for what he did a few days ago. If people would stop shirking responsibility and own up for their own shortcomings, the world wouldnt be so screwed up.

I do not know what happened to that man. I can tell you, living in Delaware and running into the Amish on occasion, they are a very practical people. I am sure that they appreciate your prayers, but they would probably wish to be left alone by outsiders to contemplate and comprehend what has just happened to them. I am not trying to deter your efforts. That is just my experience with the Amish community.

Pray that God will bless and comfort them. The man evidently molested someone(s) 20 years ago and the knowledge of that tormented him. Then he had a child die shortly after birth and he was angry at himself and at God believing it was because of what he had done, more torment. He was supposedly hearing voices in his head and was filled with much anger and torment which is what he claimed caused him to do what he did. You could also pray for the wife and children that the killer left behind. They also need blessing and comfort.

Probably nothing. They take care of their own. Just think kind thoughts and remember they were little girls who died.
