got a public health clinic, theyre free. generic prozac and zoloft are relatively cheap, probably less than $30/month (maybe prices are a lot different in CA. shop around to different pharmacies, cash prices on generics can vary widely).

try forcing yourself to go out and do stuff that makes you scared like going to the grocercy store. desensitize yourself. i use to be like that in high school/middle school then kinda got over it in my late teens/early 20s because i forced myself to do stuff like that. reassure yourself nothing is wrong, start short coversations with clerks, etc.

This is a hard situation. I've had agoraphobia for the last seven years. You can get medicaid and have someone apply and go to the appointment for you if you can't go and if you have someone that can go for you. Also try calling your county mental health department in the blue pages. They have resources and people they can refer you to. There is a really good website online that has a lot of info on anxiety and depression. There is a forum on the website too that connects you with other people with the same condition...it's called...tApir..http://algy.com/anxiety. I've tried finding prescriptions online since I can't go out of my house to the dr to get a prescription and obviously can't go to fill it either...but I haven't been able to find a place that can do it legally. If you get medicaid or some other kind of medical help and you can see a therapist ...a lot of times they are compassionate and will give you some sample packs for free to help you out. I wish nothing but the best for you. This disorder is horrible and depressing to live with.

I am from Oklahoma, the Doctors here if they know you don't have ins. will charge less and give you samples, thru the prescription Drug companies on the Internet there are ways to get free meds with your doctors help. In our town we have a Agape Clinic which is free to see the Dr's and get med's also many towns have free clinics like this. Check Internet for free med samples there are alot. I worked for a Doctor for 10 years they get ALOT of free samples of every kind of medicine. You sound alot like my 21 year old. He is so withdrawn, I am 40 with 3 boys 21, 7 and 5 and I want him to get anti-depressants they help alot, sometimes it takes trying different ones, give them at least six weeks!! Try anti-depressants before anti-anxiety. They become addictive. Get some help, talk to someone and anti-depressants do help! Good luck!

Get a doctor to let you try "Lexapro." When all others failed me this saved me. It has a side effect of killing pain. Zoloft and some others are used for "chemical castration." Be sure you don't get an anti-depressant that says "sexual side effects." hang in there. Don't let a temporary problem result in a terrible permanent solution. Try to laugh at your troubles. It's hard when you not only can't see the light at the end of the tunnel or no tunnel at all. Time heals all wounds.

You may be eligible for assistance from the drug company or even the state or you could qualify for a drug study. Don't put off seeing the doctor because of money concerns because you won't know the facts of the expenses or possible ways around it until you go and ask about your options.
