I grew up and began thinking like an intelligent being instead of assuming what people say is correct. However, that doesn't make anything less important. Just because there's no Santa Clause doesn't mean Christmas isn't wonderful. And just because there isn't one personified "god" doesn't mean that the world is not miraculous. It's better to be wonderfully real than to try to hold together with myths that are full of outdated power agendas.

I DO believe in God. Sometimes when things are hard and things are difficult, my faith may seem to waiver. But, in fact, it's the trials that actually make my faith stronger. God will see me through anything, it's just when I give up on Him that He has no control in my life.

I was told off for coming out to a group of high school seniors with whom I was working on a religious retreat. It's a long story and don't want to go into detail, but that's when I lost my faith.
