They tell us that they are the best workers in the world. They say that they have superior family values. They say that they basically run this whole country with thier unskilled labor. A recent letter has began making it across the internet. It's an opinion letter to an un-named newspaper and it makes things much clearer to understand. Those pro-illegal lovers will hate it.
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for well, you know.
And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.
Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America.

Illegal aliens are people just like you and I. I don't like the fact that they are making money here and sending it to their families and getting benefits that Americans are fighting to get and deserve. That's one reason there is over crowding in our schools. I feel that if they want to live here they should learn English and become citizens like it use to be back in the 1900's.

The only immigration problem is that the 1986 Immigration Act isn't enforced....... Every Country has a right to limit who and how many come into the Country.

My guess would be that those idiots are thinking of the American values that built this country. family, religion, living your life how you choose, being able to support your family with a good paying job because you spent your money learning a trade. Not like it matters what they think even if illegal immigration is stopped, your job will be outsourced to India, or Mexico or name any other country, hell throw a dart at a map of the earth. stupid americans wanting too have a good life ..what are they ...err what are we thinking...we must be insane.

The only way we should listen to them is for them to tell us how to close our borders. If you are an illegal, you need to be deported!!! It's the law. Like it or not. Other people come in to our great country and follow the proper procedures, why should they get any better treatment!
