Hold on...there is some logic here...
What car do many of them drive? Ding, Ding, Ding...An old, beat up, air-cooled, 2-stroke, Volkswagen Bus. Can you think of a dirtier engine? I have also seen several of these air-cooled monsters on fire by the side of the road...THAT is definitely bad for the environment.

Global warming didn't even exist before the 70s. The global temperature was actually falling slightly at that time. Statistics definitely show that hippies caused global warming. See below:
