God is love,...it is something that hard to define with words,...because it is the sate of feeling...that u felt..when u experience God's love.
For example:( its about feeling it)
1.How do u feel,...if for example u r one of the victim in world trade centre..during 9/11 attack,....was safe ur life by fireman...who was loosing his life,...coz of saving ur life.
2.How do u feel,..when doctor diagnose u that u have a cancer and cant becure,...but by His grace...u cured,....and the cancer just gone ...without logical explanation
3.How do u feel...when ur child born...
we sometimes never realized....or just dont care....like we breath every second...we think its normal...that oxygen has to be available evrytime, every second.... we breath.
Just imagine....if suddenly God take all the oxygen....u will value it more than anything....coz u cant breath.

Actually in the Bible there is no definition for the word love. It really is undefinable. We know that love is different from lust which involves sensuality. We know it is not a feeling but a character quality. You do not fall in Biblical love you grow in it. The closest word that defines it in the Bible is the word. "Give" - "For God so loved the world that He gave..."
Love is not defined, but it is described in 1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails

They say that actions speak louder than words. So let's look at the actions of folks who say that God is love. Then we will know what God is all about, right?
+Deny equality to blacks, gays, and women
+Look down on others who attend your church
+Tell other believers that they are fools and going to hell
+Twice elect the antiChrist to high public office
+Start wars in the name of God
+Gas and cremate millions of people
Now just what kind of a god would that be???

What a very good question abu!
"Benevolence" is truly the one word that describes this. Accept people for who they are and let God be their judge. Treat them as you would want to be treated if it was you. And love them as you love yourself because they are nothing but another you, for are they not also a child of God as you are?

God's unconditional love for each one of us
He sent His Son Jesus into the world, to take the punishment which you and I deserved.
Grace, Grace,
God's Grace
Grace that is greater than all my sin.

1 Corinthians 13:
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.
