There is no right religion. All have their good points and bad points. The worst thing religion does is instill a sense of separation. We are not separate from each other. We *are* each other.
I come from a Christian background, but I left the church decades ago. I wandered for a long time and read about many other belief systems. I realized I'd always have a Christian background, but now I am an "ironic" or "skeptical" Christian, with a lot of tolerance and appreciation for other religions.
The best religion is simply to love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. It doesn't get any simpler or more real than that. Look into any religion you can find, and that's the basic message.
If you are looking for a good church to go to, a lot depends on your personality and your needs. There are some churches in the Protestant sect that are mostly Apollonian in worship, meaning that you show respect by sitting very still and listening. Other Protestant sects (like Pentecostalism) are very Dionysian, meaning that you're expected to jump around, and scream and yell and be very open and vocal.
Remember that tribalism came first, then Judaism, then Christianity, then Islam. Starting around the time of King Henry VIII, who broke from the Catholic Church to start the Episcopalian church, the Protestant church was formed, and now there are a lot of offshoots from it.
Love, though, is first, last and always, and it is the best religion of all. Just love God, love yourself, love other people. If you get angry or say or do something stupid, apologize to God and that person, and just keep on loving. You really cannot go far wrong if you keep an open heart and mind and simply try to come from love no matter what you do in your life.
I hope this helps. Cheers, K

All religions are the right religions because that is what they teach. This is what is leading to so much violence today and I am not just picking on the Muslims. The way some people convey Christianity makes it seem like a violent religion also. (Buddhism and maybe some others i don't know about are the only religions that accepts others.)

Religion is a means to cause division. The only true religion to fallow is Jesus, which you find how to do in the Bible.
And All I mean ALL versions of the English translated Bibles Have good teaching in them just find the one that speaks to you the best!!!

The right religion is the one written within your own heart. Obviously, what's right for you might not be right for someone else and vice-versa.

No such thing! Each person needs to find out which is the right one for them. Everyone thinks their religion is the right one. Which is not correct, it's only right for them and those who share the same beliefs.
