My cat is an older cat today when I came home he could barely stand and his breathing seems weak . He does not seem to be in any pain and seems comfortable being petted . If I just leave him he just staresoff with eyes just open a little an does not respond if I say his name or say anything else like kitty kitty

I took him to the vet right after the posting . Still don't know what is wrong. All they could tell in he is in pain and gave him something for that and took blood . Could be kidney's or diabetes. So far still not doing good . Thank you all you cat lovers for all your concern

older as in how old? some older cats just seem to fade out and others last a long time, is there any possibility that it got into something chemical? chewed an electric cord? ate a fallen pill?
AND I agree with the others, take it to the Vet asap

my cat was 12 years old and went from 13 pounds, to 9 pounds. i took her to the docter, and he said she was anorexic. The best therapeutic option for her at this time is to start getting treated homeopathically. take her to a vet. good luck!

if the cat is non responsive, it needs immediate treatment.

how will the cat eat and drink fluids in their state?

it could have ingested something toxic or have a failing organ or something else vital.

get it to the vet!

Take both mother and kitten together. You can use a TOP AND BOTTOM OF A FRUIT BOX for a makeshift cat transport.

Please don't waste any more time here, get to the vet! I probably wouldn't even call first. When they see what is wrong, they will take you right in. I'm so sorry for you and your cat.

You need to get to the vet ASAP. He appears to have a serious health problem.
