Is this a war against terrorism or a war against Islam?

If you are waging a war against terror, why are you making more terrorists? Killing innocent people, making them think they have no choice but to fight back!

We won't win a war against terrorism either. We have terrorists in our own country and we are not doing anything about it. As for Islam itself, I would have to agree... we won't win a war against Any Religion. Simply because fighting against people based on belief only causes those people to hold strongly to that belief, thinking that because they are persecuted, they must be right.

BTW... I, personally, am not fighting a war. I'm sitting in my livingroom reading generalizations on a board where nobody seems to know how to reason with one another.

There is no war against Islam, Shintoism, Buddhaism, or any other religion. The killing going on in Iraq is ninty-five percent Muslims killing Muslims. I'm sure we'll never win. It's up to the Muslims to stop killing each other. As for me, I don't care if they kill each other until the very last one, if that's what they want.

Its not a war against terrorism ... thats for sure ... there are lots of terrorist in the world that are not Muslim ....

We just don't hear about them ... its about oil mainly and a misguided notion of making the middle east democratic ..

Absolutely not. And I'm sorry you are so angry. Perhaps the true Islam should rise up itself against the radical who wish to force conversion on the world, who rape and terrorize and execute their own people, who make war not for defense but for profit. How about you stand up against the people who brought war to peaceful people... Christians and Islamists. In the end, Jesus Christ wins and God welcomes us to His home.

Well, many believers in Islam CONTINUE TO PROTECT AND SUPPORT THE EXTREMISTS. This defines them as PARTICIPANTS in the ILLEGAL ACTIONS of those extremists. By conspiring to carry out attacks against the forces and civil population of a sovereign nation, the non-extremist population ally themselves with the extremists. Were they to identify the CRIMINALS to their own government or another force in a position to put an end to the criminal actions of the extremists, they would be uninvolved, but by continuing to hide and support the enemies of civilization, they enter the war BY THEIR OWN CHOICE. There is nothing we can do about that.

I ( as a true follower of God ) do completely believe that ~ hence "Thou shalt NOT kill" He didn't write kill if you're mad, or kill if your pres tells you to, it says not to. And while I agree with what you mean, killing is killing. However, Islam, ( Bin Laden to be exact ) want the complete submission of Americans to become Muslim. I don't see how that will happen save no religion. We are NOT designed to be the same ~ never have been never will be. We just need to have faith that God will take care of the innocence trapped in the literal crossfire, and conversely ~ the evil will not go unpunished.

neither, that's what the dirty politicians want us to think.No one will admit it but, it all comes to down to MONEY, GREED and CONTROL. no one will give up what they have or want, and will go to any extent to acquire it, weather it be nukes ,land,oil, or supper power status. this is not about any religion or terrorism this is about ego's, ignorance,and corruption .people are using Islam and terrorism to distract what this war is really about.. come on people wake up! AND DO NOT BELIEVE ALL YOU SEE ON TV OR IN THE NEWS!111 EVERYTHING we see and hear is being controlled..they want to program us' to think the west is right or the middle east is wrong and vice versa..they want to sway are opinions and beliefs.the amount of propaganda on both sides makes me sick..and they say it's all in the name of god or terrorism. First, we most definately will win, you are one billion in a world of six billion and do not think for one moment Chinese or Russians are your buddies. Chinese are OPPOSED to all RELIGIONS it is the OPIATE of the people!

So let's get those odds straight 5 to 1, not good odds.

All innocient people die in war. Don't forget we nuked Japan, twice. All of those people were innocent, but WAR IS HECK!

A lot of innocent people died in 9-11 and in the London train bombings.

Of course, we know YOU don't view them as innocent, but we do.

And we are not at war with Islam

We are quite friendly with Egypt, Sauid Arabai, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lybia, among others.

We have no problems with them and they have no problems with us.

We have about million Muslims in our country, who build Mosques and go to them and wear conservative or moderate Muslim dress and we have no problems with them and they have no problems with us.

Now, explain all that!
