is ur hair thick? or long? if so, it's going to be around $200+. get it done at a korean or japanese place.... i actually need to do it too...sigh. try the Magic Straight if ur hair is thick/frizzy.

a regular straight perm is cheaper, and will work on thin hair.

i hate going to salons, and it takes liek 3-4 hours to do! but it's worth it..lasts for like 6 mo, and then u can straighten the growing hair w/ a straightener... the rest of the hair stays stick straight until u cut it off! :)

I've had my hair permanently straightened twice. ( it's a kinda perm in reverse!). The first time was in Australia, where it cost about £300, and the second was in Thailand and it was just £80. My hair looked a little lank afterwards, although it did stay straight, even in humidity and the rain! As your hair grows, although it stays straight on the lengths, the roots are the same as your original hair. I was a little scared incase there was an obvious difference, but as I let my hair grow I couldn't really notice a difference between the 'straightened' hair and the 'normal' hair. I was travelling around OZ and Asia at the time, and so it was a godsend to have straight hair and not have to worry about frizz in the heat!

Depends on where you are from. It is pretty expensive. In my area it costs about the same as a perm $65-125...but remember you have to touch it up with every 1-2 inche outgrowth if you want to keep it straight, and make sure your hair is in decent-good shape or else there may be breakage (therefore not fried hair, overly processed with color and such)

Keep in mind, once you get it permanently straightened, when your hair grows back, it won't be straight.

It depends on where you live. Where I live, it costs about $200.
