Really I admire the freedom of talk you have but it seems you have no limits !

May be this is the point that makes the friction between Islam world and others.

Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was a live example of Islam. We take his words and his ACTS as religion for us. If someone insults him , we ask ourselves why ? the answer is because he was a living example of islam. He did not do any thing other than that.

Then this insult is directly transfered to the religion. It is red line to us.

We are not against the dialogue. But it should be in a very civilized manner with no insult.

What ignites the issue is that our world became a small village and when ignorant foolish irrespitable creature insults our prohet all the world knows even the uncontrolable simple muslims who feel that it is more than they can take and this energy is out with no control from scholars who diffinately don't agree on these reactions.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually insult the religion until the Extremists started. And I believe those insults were more directed at those actions than they were directed at ALL Muslims. I'm sure most people realize that not all Muslims would act in such a way, but we also do not see any speaking out against what happens either... so it makes it hard Not to say things, even though they are insulting.

And, I would agree that our Freedom of Speech has gotten out of hand... we have allowed our own religious extremists take it too far in our own country (something people outside of our country don't seem to realize). But, you do have to realize that people outside of our country (lately it has been the Muslims saying this) seem to think all Americans are the same... and that we all agree with everything that goes on here. So when an American sees this, they take it as insulting because there are many things Americans in general disagree with... even of our own Gov't. And, as we both know, most people no matter where they are from, once they are insulted or labelled in an insulting way, they retaliate in the same manner.

No red line for me. I speak precisely all the evil I see in all religions. The catholics and their pope, the protos and their evangelicals, born agains, and other crank offshoots like the mormons and witnesses, the hindus and their silly caste system, the moslem who are third generation compounders of theological absurdities, in addition to having a higher than normal incidence of radicals and violent minded factions, the Jews who think they can seize land, property, and power because they are "god"'s chosen and better than the rest...

I diss them all as I find them.

I agree people should at least pay some respect, I have on occasion seen people writing really politely too. Salutes to you for bringing this up in such a good way, peace

It is rather ridiculous when the followers of one prophet keep insulting the followers of another prophet by accusing them of belonging to a cult and what-not: it is very much a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

People don't understand, there is a war against Islam going on.

I'm not talking about the bombing of Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine or Kashmir here!

In the US, if you write a book bashing Islam ITS AN INSTANT BEST SELLER!
Look at these boards, look at all the hate they have for us.

I'm tired of it all. I am a Muslim American and proud of it. You cannot intimidate me or change me. My faith is stronger than any bombs!

Do you really expect a dignified response from a bunch like this?

Your freedom to punch ends where my nose begins.

But most non-Muslims don't understand that. They think everything that is not like them is not even human.

Ever hear of ...."Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me?"
Ignore the rhetoric. After all, it's only words.

Unfortunately, I think it is the world's tendancy to mock other people's faiths. Jesus, who is my Lord and God, has been the subject of many jokes and insults. But vengence is not mine. God will repay.
