For many years, I have had horrible nails. They will chip, peel, crack, and break. They wouldn't grow because they would break before they got very long. I found this great product on QVC and have used it ever since. I was skeptical about how it would work. But once I used it for a week, I was hooked for life. I hope they never stop making it because it has done wonders for my nails.

It is called T.I.P.S. 5 Piece Nail Conditioning Kit. They also have refills that you can buy too. It is a bit pricey. But one of the bottles will last a little over a month. For the first month, you should use it once a day at least. I think I used it twice, but now I only use it once every other day and it keeps my nails looking great.

I highly recommend it. It's not often that I recommend certain products. But this one is just fantastic.

I had this problem. I stopped using any kind of product on my nails and the problem completely went away. If I polish my nails, even if I use a base coat or some other protector, or a product like Hard As Nails, my nails peel. If I leave them clean and unpolished they remain healthy and don't peel or split. It sucks because I love having polished nails, but because of this I've gone several years now without polishing them. Try this and see if it works for you.

Try taking a mineral or vitamin supplement.

Lack of A, B-complex, C, D and E vitamins, and a lack of certain minerals (such as calcium, zinc, nickel, and other trace elements) can cause damage to the keratin, so repairing this is a good idea before it gets more drastic.

Dietary sources include oily fish and nuts, seeded breads or seeds, lean red meat, and any number of fruits and vegetables (as many colours as you can).

My mum always said it's a question of calcium, so eating cheese or other dairy products should help.
