I just got a 94 Buick Park avenue a few weeks ago. I'm 17 and getting my license (hopefully) on the 25th of this month. I have a question about the insurance. Our company is Amica. I've gotten a quote recently from my dad talking to them. He told me today that after two cars are insured the third one is automatically listing me as the primary driver. I'd like to be able to be the 'secondary driver' to save money...anyone know if this is possible with this company?

RE: It isn't the truth.
Well, of course not.
But my friend down in Tennesee has been doing it for years and now he's 21

If there are three drivers and three cars, there will be a different primary driver on each car. Them's is the rulez!

You should be listed as primary on the one that results in the the lowest premium. That will probably be the Park Avenue anyway.

Your friend in Tennessee has a stupid insurance company. Amica is not that easily fooled. More cars than there are parents and a kid who can drive equals a kid driving one car principally. You/your parents need to suck it up and pay the $. You'd hate for your insurance company to catch you misleading them or misrepresenting facts, right?

Nope........3 cars and 3 drivers in the same household.....each one gets allotted a car for insurance purposes.

If you happen to circumvent the system, (read:LIE on your app. to the insurance co.), your claim could be DENIED if a loss occurs. This is spelled out in black and white in the policy and bro, they don't play games.
