When someone says love is over rated, they have either been burned in a past relationship, they are afraid of commitment, or they are possibly too immature to be happy with one person at a time.
Either way, it is a very cynical viewpoint on life. Despite what some people may believe, it is completely within human nature to love, to find the one person they are the happiest with and spend their life with them. Even before man started standing upright, we have sought out love.

Simply,
Love is the most misinterpreted word in the English language.
It is misused and abused in so many different way that it no longer make sense.
You would first have to define love before you can over rate it.
You can also under estimate its power.
Every person as his or her own interpretation of love.
Whom can say which one is right or wrong.
