I've been told 2 different things. I can get my marriage licence in Vegas or get it all done before I leave. I live in Alberta Canada and I want to have it done before I go so I don't have to worry about anything. Has anyone done this that could help me out?

I'm pretty sure you can get your marriage license in Vegas and it'll still be valid in Alberta. You might have to file it with your local authorities, though. Where would you go to get a copy of your records? That would be the office in Alberta to check with. (Here in California, I would go to the records office for my county.)

I'm assuming you are just getting married in Vegas. If you are planning on staying in the US after the marriage, that's a whole other issue.

Im pretty sure you will have to get it in Vegas b/c the alberta one expires in only three months and it is only eligible if you get married in Alberta, so go into your local registry company and ask what you should do or call a travel company they might know.

I know that if you live in this country, you can just get your license in Las Vegas a day or two before the wedding. I don't know if being a Canadian citizen changes anything though. Try going to a couple of Las Vegas websites. There should be links about weddings there. Congratulations!
