INSECT REPELLENT PATCH

Hi,
I remembered seeing your question earlier today and I was just looking though a magazine and saw this product called Omezone Insect repellent Patch. They stop mosquitoes biting you for up to 36 hours and they are safe to use on children.

Written below is copied from the Harleys limited site.
Its made hear in Australia but you can buy the patches in the USA. There are also other brands on the market if you can't find this one.

Harley Limited
Insect repellent Patch:The insect repellent patch protects you and your family from mosquito bites that carry the West Nile virus, encephalitis and malaria. A proven Australian formula used for over 50 years is now available in the United States in a convenient patch that follows the uniform absorption of the natural supplement B1 (thiamin) that helps prevent insect bites Thiamin like other B vitamins helps the body function. Excess thiamin is eliminated not only in the urine but is excreted in the sweat as well. Thus, the repellant patch is a natural based formula that reduces or prevents most insect bites.

OMEZONE is a topically applied patch that actually repels mosquitoes and other biting insects!

It is 100% safe and harmless to children and pets, yet so effective it keeps mosquitoes and other blood-sucking insects away for up to 36 hours! Thousands of people nationwide get infected with the dreaded West Nile Virus and related illnesses each year... don't be one of them! SAFE FOR EVEN VERY YOUNG CHILDREN!

No, there isn't. But there is a way u can get ride of mosquitoes, just as I did. I went 2 the doctor n he told me 2 take some pills called "Tiamina" AKA the vitamin B1. This vitamin repels mosquitoes for a whole day. Maybe this will work for u too.

Benedryl will help lessen the symptoms. To reduce the amount of the damn things remove all standing water from around the house (bird baths, puddles, plant stands, etc). If you catch the bite early enough make a paste of msg (yes, accent) and water and pat it on the bite. The enzymes will help destroy the protein injected by the bug without harming the skin. this will lessen the itch and the reaction.

Use diet E on the former mosquito bites to reduce the discoloration and use non fruity perfumes even as outdoors to maintain away from new encounters. Aloe Vera gel works properly for prevention too.

No, there's no cure. You can help fight the reaction with anti-histamines— like children's benedryl. But for babies so young, just keep them inside in the evenings during mosquito season.

If the reaction is so bad that you are generally concerned for their safety, you should consult your pediatrician for further medical actions.

When he gets older, I would try a holistic approach for allergies. There a lots of alternatives out there that could work and prevent him from have to carry around an epi-pen or take medicine all the time...good luck!!! :(

He is too young to spray chemicals on so just wrap him up in a nice jumpsuit wth a hood.

Cover him in plenty of DEET it is the only way to deter mosquitos.

Edit: get the children's formula and when he is done being ouside, make sure to wash the skin with soap.
