That sounds like the viewpoint of the LDS church.

No, you did not. Jehovah, the creator of all spirit creatures, made the amount he needed to serve him. He never once said that an angel should come to earth to prove their status to him on what they did on the earth in a future life. Sadly, when a child or an adult dies some clergy person will say that God needed another angel. That is so untrue! God made angels for the spirit realm and humans for the earth. He never said humans would go to heaven after they died. He said they would be resurrected back to life to live on a paradise earth. The spirit creatures live in the heavens, and Satan and one third of the angels will be destroyed after the 1000 year reign of Christ. You, as a human, were born from an egg/sperm relationship from your parents. Angels were created by God's holy spirit or active force. So, you were not once a spirit creature out to prove your so called worthiness to God.

To Zero: Look up, no better yet since you seem to not know what is actually in the Bible, I'll give it to you so you won't have to frantically search for your dust covered Bible:
THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET
JEREMIAH
CHAPTER 1
Verse 5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
The Lord is speaking to Jeremiah regarding our pre-mortal existance.

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed the in the belly I knew thee; and before thus camest forth out the womb I sanctified thee...
How can the Lord know you before you exist?
How can He sanctify you before you exist?
How can He sanctify you before you exist?
John 9:2 Christ's apostles asked, "Who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
How could a man sin before he was born?

I read where a little girl wanted to be alone with her newborn
baby brother. She got so insistent, her parents thought she
was jealous of him.
Finally, they left her alone with him, but kept the door jarred so
they could keep an eye on her.
The little girl went up to him and asked,
"What is God like, I forgot?"

Ther is nothing in the Bible to lead me toward that conclusion. It says we are appointed once to be born and once to die. Ther is no mention of an earlier spirit existence.

Are you asking if I believe this? If that's the question, then my answer is yes.
If you were asking a different question, then you'll have to rephrase it.
