Because it has been the norm for wiccans to be lumped together with all witches and most are not. Wiccans are, by and large, misunderstood. It is not a mainstream religion that would be welcomed quite as readily into as many homes. Some of us would be interested in learning about the religion and it's beliefs. It is a shame everyone isn't open minded about at least hearing about other religions. I think you can listen to or learn about several without losing faith in your own.

Pagans and Wiccans are not so self righteous as to believe that their way is the only way. They respect all religions as part of the journey to the Divine.

Pagans and Wiccans also feel that each individual has the right to find the Divine in the manner that is best for the individual and know they do not have the right to assume that their way is the one, true way.

i am not Wiccan but i am Pagan, and we are kind of the same lot of people in most basic beliefs so i will give this a shot.

I think it is because we believe that there is more than one path to the gods. and also we are not directed to "Witness" to others. or to spread our beliefs by our gods. the Pagan gods each have their own place in the world and are happy with their place.

in essence it would be hard to worship a River God in the desert, and a desert god in a verdant forest...etc.
our gods are not jealous gods and are there to mantain the cycle of nature and to help us humand whth our daily lives. they have no need or desire to have a massive following.

furthermore. most Pagan religions believe that religion should be Free and should not cost someone to learn. and the services of a spiritual leader should also be completly free. so there is not really a way to turn the religion into a big business and make loads of money from it.

the Church is at it's heart a business and it needs to make money to survive. but men are never happy with just surviving they always want more. more converts more tithes, more business...etc. Paganism just does not lend itself to that style of life. this is a problem with the church though and not with Christianity

We are taught that people find their own paths. If someone wants to know about Wicca I will inform them of our beliefs as long as they ask. We don't go out look for new converts, a true Wiccan finds their own way.

Because we believe that people have the right to believe in what they are going to believe in, even if others do not. Also, the whole religion is basically a personal conection between ourselves and nature.

Because I honestly do not care if someone believes as I do. And I certainly wouldn't be so arrogant as to push my beliefs on another person. I am perfectly contect with my personal beliefs and do not need others to believe in order to justify or strengthen my own belief.

Why does it count number, and why do you care? you do not favor to flow through that complete rambling in simple terms get out with it and say Merry Christmas, chuffed new twelve months, chuffed vacation journeys, and so on. they're going to understand you.

Because far too many of them know all too well how it feels to be badgered, prejudiced against and attacked for their beliefs and do not want anyone else to suffer that kind of abuse.

Thank you Pagans for being more Christian than many so called "Christians", athiests and agnostics on this site.

Because we believe that everyone is free to believe as they want and to worship whomever they want. There is no "one way" or "right way". That's what we believe so we don't feel the need to convert others to our way of thinking.

The Laws Of Wicca..
#24. So be it ordained, that none but the Wicca may see our mysteries, for our enemies are many and torture loosens the tongue of man.
#31. So be it ordained that no one shall tell anyone not of the craft who be of the Wicca, nor give any names or where they bide, or in any way tell anything which can betray any of us to our foes.

We are comfortable letting people choose their own way.
