while yes.. it is currently illegal... the linked article mentions a LAWMAKER who may try to change the laws to allow teachers to carry conseled guns on campus

While I'm a supporter of gun-owners rights, I say no to this.

Besides, I just see it as an opportunity for a different kind of abuse to happen on the part of the teacher.

some teacher can put a gun to a kids head and force them to have sex.

Plus the notion of the first time a mistake is made. Some teacher gets scared and goes overboard by gunning some indefesible kid down in the hall.

Not a good idea.

No, it's stupid. All they would have to do is turn their back for one second and some kid would take the gun and start killing people.

Anyone in news land think about security guards?
