jeet kune do was bruce lee's personal philosophy &alternative to martial arts, which he felt were too patterened & predictable. it was developed by mastering many martial arts & devising strategy against all of them by being so unpredictable- no pattern= no defense. i wish you the best in your quest. do not be taken in by people who say "i know jkd" or "bruce lee taught me jkd". it is simply not so. for more info, read "tao of jeet kune do"(bruce & linda lee/m. uyehara). you can certainly learn any martial art. may it enrich your life.good luck!
