What scriptures do you use to justify your witness and what are the scriptures you have used to confirm your witness?

When I asked what scriptures you use for your witness I was referring to those you use to guide you as a witness for Christ not those so many foolishly throw at nonbelievers and then have the nerve to get upset when they post snide comments.

When I asked about the scripture you use to justify your witness I was asking about the ones you have used to test your witness.

For example: some thing like,

"... and the Lord God did smite them.." is a bad choice for witness inspiration.

"...turn the other cheek..." is a good choice for witness inspiration and disproves the use of smiting.

Jehovah's Witnesses both witness and bear witness to God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah

(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.

(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus

(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

The best witness is to feed the hungry, clothe and house the homeless, care for the sick, visit the imprisoned, welcome the outcast, defend the defenseless, challenge the mighty and the complacent, advocate justice for the powerless and live as simply as you can. As many have said, it is a prophet's role to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Preaching pie-in-the-sky "salvation" is meaningless when suffering is present before you.

I don't know what you mean by "confirm" but the guiding scriptures I use can be found in Isaiah 61, Luke 4 and James 2.

The best witness you can give for Christ is to live up to what the Bible teaches. Do the right thing at all times. Anything else is not witnessing Christ but mocking Him.

I would rather see a sermon, than hear one any day.
I'd rather one should walk with me, than merely tell me the way
The eye's a better pupil, more willing than the ear.
Fine council is confusing, but examples always clear.
And the best of all preachers, are the men who live their creed.
For to see good put in action, is what everybody needs.
I can soon learn to do it, if you let me see it done.
I can watch your hands in action, but your tongue to fast may run.
And the lecture you deliver, may be very wise and true.
But, I'd rather get my lesson,by observing what you do.
For I might misunderstand you, and the high advice you give.
But theres no misunderstanding, how you act and how you live.

The best witness you can give for Christ,...........is yourself!

1 Pet. 5: 1
1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

1 Jn. 5: 6
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Rev. 1: 5
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

The best witness I can give for Christ is to be fully alive, to be who He wants me to be.

I don't have any scriptures. That is not what they are for.

I would have to agree with J.P. I have never used verses to witness. I beleive you yourself is the best witness. As the saying goes: Actions speak louder than words.
