on saturday i went out with some friends and i decided to try pot ..it was really gross i didnt even get to inhale it before i felt sick so i stopped immediatly......now this job that i really want called me yeasterday to come in for an interview and drug test....ugh...the one time i decide to try it, this place calls me back...well i took the drug test today and i am FREAKING out.. do you think it will come back positive even though i technically did not smoke??

No. If it didn't enter your system, then you're fine. At party's people smoke, you smell it, but it won't show on a drug test. IT WON'T SHOW UP. promise =)
FYI: if you do decide to smoke regulary, it stays in your system for a month.

You can get a marijuana urine test kit over the counter at many drug stores. Test yourself.
It may sound silly, but if you sucked smoke in to your mouth and spit it out, it is possible that enough did absorb to make positive test. There are also a few times that people HAVE tested positive from side smoke- if you are breathing smoky air at a party, you are getting some THC.
If you test positive at home, drink tons of water to dilute your urine before the test- I mean well before. Empty your bladder and drink a mild diuretic- like coffee- that way the urine in your bladder is very dilute and the possible THC in it is also diluted.

If you didn't even inhale, chances are there will be nothing but tiny traces in your urine. Just explain that you went to a party where others were smoking, and so it was probably just the secondary smoke, as they didn't have the windows open, etc. Don't actually SAY that you didn't have any, and you won't (technically) be lying.

It's been a few days and if you didn't inhale, I'd say you've got a pretty good chance of passing. Good luck and hope you learned a lesson either way.
