ok, i have a sort of bump behind my ear and the doctor saud that it was a swollen lymph note, so he said to use some dandruff shampoo and conditioner so i used it and the bump wouldn't go away, do you think it could be a cist?

p.s. i also have an outer ear infection. whick makes my ears hurt like crazy!

99% of the time these lumps turn out to be large cell lymphoma. I would take this seriously.

What would dandruff shampoo have to do with a lump behind your ear.....Your lymph nodes are closer to your thoat on your neck. If it is inflammed and painful to touch it probably is a cyst and a warm compress should bring some relief. If you have an infection and doesnt seem to be clearing up on its own the possibly you need antibiotic treatment is pretty good

it definitely needs to be evaluated further if it persists or worsens over a few weeks, it could very well by a cyst but the feel of it is probably what made him say a lymph node, good luck
