I always hear that cats are independant animals so then why are they affectionate, rub up against you, nuge under your chin and lay by your legs when you're in bed?I adopted a kitten 3 weeks ago,and he has a big cat friend living with him, I might move my kitten to my house with my parents( I'm 24). will he be more dependant on me for affection and playing around without a cat to interact with or is this a bad idea. I spend tons of hours at home down the basement, which is a huge place for my cat to play around seems to love to play with balls and stringy things. Is this a good idea or should I keep my kitten with the bigger cat at my friends place( which is 45 mins away from me)? any sujestions or any knowledge you can supply I'd be very greatful. will he "out grow" this kitten behavor and then not need another cat to play with? cuz I'm not sure if I can have 2 cats now to solely take care for.
